SUPERIOR QUALITY TAR MADE IN FRANCE FROM WOOD FROM ECO-MANAGED FORESTS.

500ml – Brush included

Vegetable tar, a natural product with recognized cleansing properties:

Tar is obtained by pyrolysis (slow combustion in the absence of oxygen) from wood (usually pine but beech can also be used). It is a mixture of resin and empyreumatic oil. It is characterized by a strong, acrid odor released by the action of certain organic materials, charcoal residues and pyroligneous acid. Its very dark color is due to charcoal.

The use of tar as a treatment dates back to the 18th century, the properties of Norwegian tar are described as early as 1745 in pharmacology manuals.

Its properties are linked to its chemical composition which contains phenolic compounds and lipophilic compounds (resin acids, terpenes). Polyphenols are known for their antioxidant and antimicrobial role.
